First of all, thank you for answering my question! I don't quite consider it shameful that I am more or less comfortable with a female OBGYN because I don't really...well...shop around for the best one. I'm quite happy with my current OBGYN and don't intend to look for another. I tend to believe that my comfort in the situation is more important that trying new things, if you will.

Its a personal choice in the end and, if it makes you feel any better, my mother prefers a male OBGYN.
