ON the topic of Female vs male gynocologists...

I was reading some of the older october posts and came across one about whether a female or male OBGYN is preferred. I think the reply on how a gyno should be judged on character and not on gender is a good one, but there is also the consideration of the patient.

I, for one, prefer a female gynocologist. I'm not sure why; it may be that the only males that have touched me have done so in a very sexual way. I incorporate male gynocologists with sex, while a female gynocologist I can look at more as a concerned mother. Its just a personal opinion and one that I cannot quite get over, but it may also be that I am only 18 years old.

I have a few questions for the doctors on the forum, if you do not mind answering. How exactly did you get into the profession? I still have memories of watching sitcoms or movies as a kid and seeing boys talking about the profession as a way to touch women. I would like to hear both the male and female sides to this!

Thank you very much!
