Montgomery, MD: "Re: Bleeding during sex" I've had the same partner for six months and I find that I often bleed during sex. I haven't had this problem with my past partner. There is no pain with the bleeding and it happens most times we have sex. I went to my doctor about it and after examining me (she said everything looks normal but that my blood vessels are close to the surface) she suggested changing brands of birth control as that can sometimes cause this problem (I've been on this brand for 6 months). I was switched from ortho cept to Ortho 7/7/7. Is this a common problem? Is it safe to continue sex even though I start bleeding? Thanks! Next message: Lynn D.
