After weeks of worrying I got a vaginal swab done which showed I had thrush. The doctor gave me 2 Canestan pessaries and a course of penicillan. Apparantly you use only one pessary and it should clear up in 3 days time. I used both and nothing happened. My long term boyfriend is also infected and using treatment now. I was talking on another forum about this and was informed that condoms do not act as a barrier for thrush, so any thoughts that your b/f may be cheating can now be quashed. Also I'm not sure if peeing frequently is also a symptom of thrush, but I pee about every 20 minutes or something! Anyway I hope you get sorted, cos I know how much this can get you down!
