Hello I am a 21 year old who had been taking depo injections for 3 years now. I am not sexually active and chose to go on depo to control my periods. I chose this method because I know how awful I am about taking pills, much less at the same time everyday. I have recently been debating discontinuing the depo injections. I am concerned about any problems I may encounter by doing so. Im also wondering if by discontinuing the injections my weight I have gained (35-40 pounds) will come off easier. I would appreciate any insight on what I could be looking forward to if I do chose to stop using depo provera. One last question, if I do discontinue usage of depo could I start the product again if I chose to?
