itching = disease?

Someone I was dating started to do oral sex on me. After a few minutes I had him stop because he was hurting me by pulling me apart with his hands while he touched me with his mouth. That was in May. In September and October I've had very bad itching (mostly at night) that starts during my period and last for about a week. The itching is on my buttocks where the cheeks come together and close to my legs. The area turns red (I think from me scratching). There are no sores or anything, just itchiness.

I don't have any symptoms now. So I don't know if any test can be done at a dr. I am dreading my next period in case it happens again.

I have never had any problems down there. Is this a yeast problem? Does it sound like it is something of an STD? I really hope you can calm my concerns.
