Daniel Braun, MD: "Re: severe cramping and clots" I'm 21 and have been having irregular periods from the start varying from 30-42 days usually. Currently it has been 58 days since my last period and after taking 2 home pregnancy tests, both were negative. I have had a history of skipping a period cycle before but those were caused by stress during exam time. I have not been stressed lately (no exams) thus this is causing me to suspect something is wrong. Actually, after my last period was over and the bleeding stopped, I continued to have an unusual brown discharge which had a funny smell. This continued for more than a week and during that time I also experienced vaginal itching. These symptoms went away, but a week or so ago when I expected my period I began to find that my nipples were getting very sore, I gained some weight and I was losing more hair off my head than usual. Not to mention my period still isn't here. The longest my period has taken to come is 54 days and today is the 58th already.
