I will be 27 next month, and for about 10 months I have been having hot flashes. It started around the first of the year. I had my yearly physical in April, 2000. I told him of the problems with hot flashes, so he drew blood twice. Once was to check thyroid, and hemoglobin that all came back fine. I have been on BC for 7 years (othro cyclen). At that time I was put on Mirchette (not sure of the spelling), well I took that for only 3 months, that didn't help. The next time I was put on Zovia. I am currently on this one and can honestly say it is not helping hot flashes. I went in on Sept. 11, 2000 due to spotting after the 1st month on this pill, they did nothing about that, just checked for infection and there was none so, at that time he told me the hot flashes was because of my body making to much histamine and was going to put me on Zyteck (allergy/sinus) med, but I told him that I was already on Allerga since February (once a day every day) so he said to try phentermine 37.5 (diet pill) this has not helped and don't see how it would. As of now I have had my second period on these pills and had another second week of true actual bleeding I didn't call until the end of that week and that was because of the mood swing that I was in and they told me then that there was nothing else that they could do for me. I am currently seeking new Dr. and am waiting 3rd period on these pills and are still having mood swings and hot flashes as of today. Is there any reason why I am having these and if so could it be related to endometriosis (mother & grandmother had). I hope that maybe you have answers for me!
