The doctor had me take my gown off and get off the exam table for a scoliosis exan. ( I was found to have it). Then I was told to bend over the exam table and she then inserted a lubricated finger all the way up my rectum. I knew from a girlfriend that patients get a rectal exam but did I get mine as part of the normal physical or was it due to the scoliosis. My girlfriend says that she lies on her side when she gets hers. She is heavy. I am thin if it matters. Thank you. It is nice to have a fiorum where you can ask questions without being embarrassed.
