I recently went to the GYN (for the first time), to have a pelvic exam. It was EXTREMELY painful, and I had to go back to try again. The second time was equally painful, but the doctor got a few cells, which appear to be normal. All tests (hormone levels, cholesterol, etc) seem to be normal. I am afraid of infertility or some other serious condition. I have infrequent abdominal pain, similar to cramps that also concerns me. What could this be? I haven't gotten a sufficient answer on what's wrong with me. Thank you for your time.
