Hi There, I think that was quite rude of your Dr. She should have just come out and said that multi sex partners puts you at an increased risk for HPV. What she was saying is that HPV can be passed on even when you use condoms, but condoms protect you a "tad" more. Since you are on the pill, and have been with him for a year, I see no reason to bother with Condoms, if he was to give you HPV, a (mostly scilent cervical problem) you would have already gotten it. Any problems HPV may cause can be easily corrected by regular paps (once a year at least). Who is to say if you "wait until you are married" your new bow will not have a scilent HPV, and you could get it anyway....There is no precaution except abstinence...so I wouldn't worry too much. Maybe your worrisome Dr can preform the hybrid capyure II HPV test if she is so concerned...(I bet when you had a STD test, they didn't do that one!!!)
