Hi, I'm 19 years old and I haven't had my period for 6 months. I firsted started my period when I was 14 and in the beginning it was irregular. Probably by the time I was 16 it became more regular. Last fall I ran college level Cross Country and had lots of stress caused from school, work, and a relationship with a boy. I also lost a little over 10 pounds, which I didn't need to lose. I am very cautious about what I eat. For years I have been an on and off again vegan. Finally during the fall of last year I stuck to no dairy or animal products. This is a major cause of my weight lose as well as stress. After cross country season ended, I continued to run and still do about 5 to 6 times a week varying for 30 to 45 minute runs. I'm really worried about not having my period. I have started eating dairy products and consuming more calories. I'm extremely active most of the time. With all of this stress put on my body I know it must not be good. Can you tell me what I can do? I don't want to go on birth control pills at all.
