I tell patients to call the labor unit of the nearest hospital to them. Call at 2 or 3 am. Tell the nurses you are new in town and need a new gyn. They can tell you who is the nicest guy/gal at that hour, you can bet that in general, they are good docs at all hours. Others suggest calling the local medical society, but once again, that is just a list. Good Luck
