I have to go back to the doctor twice in 1 year, every six months. If just one of the paps come back positive then the doctor said I should have cryotherapy but I disagree. I was wondering if it would be safe for me to just continue going back every 6 months if the dysplasia does not change? I was also wondering what ASCUS and LGSIL meant? Thank you. Mild dyplasia IS mild dysplasia , not between normal and mild dysplasia. There are many ways of following this. Some do paps every 3 months for a year and every six months thereafter for a few years AND if there isn't a resolution in the 1-2 year range, treatment is recommended. They will resolve in about 85% of patients.
