sexually relatedFrom: Gina (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 31 Jul 2000 09:23:17 -0500 (CDT)
I am 18 years old and have recently lost my virginity. I experienced light bleeding and spotting for about a week after the experience. I know this is sometimes common because of the breaking of the hymen. I had sexual intercourse for the second time last week and afterwards experienced some brownish spotting again. It didn't occur immediately right after sex, but rather a day or two after and has lasted a couple of days. Can this still be because of the hymen breaking from the first time around and because I am still not used to sex, or can there be something medically wrong with me. I have gone to a gynocologist since I was 16 and have been on Allesse (birth-control) since then as well. Thank you very much for answering my question.
