Okay, I am 19, and about 10 months ago I started having very heavy periods. The cramps got worse, and blood clots got worse. I also began having severe pains in my abdominal area, so bad that i would fall to the floor or couldn't get out of bed. The pain was overwhelming, and i went to a nurses station on my college's campus, where they told me that I most likely was having a miscarriage. I had taken three preg tests, and two came out negative. I never ended up pregnant. I got to my worst when i had my period for three and a half weeks straight. I went to my regular doc, not a gyno, and he put me on Mircette. It stopped my period within a week, but after I completed my first pack, I never started my period. I had had some light spotting within the first month, but nothing serious. I started my second pack, and two and a half weeks into it, I started my period. I have now been on my period for a full week, and every day it get's heavier and heavier. I only have a few more days left of this pack, and then I will be taking the nonactives. I was wondering if you have any advice or knowledge of this pill or my problems. my doctor hasn't spoken to me directly, but his nurses told me that i needed to continue taking the pill for another month. should i get a second opinion, and what do you suggest i do?
