Without seeing the sonogram, I can't be sure but statistically, the dermoid is the most common cyst in young women (other than cysts of ovulation). I personally handle dermoids laparoscopically if they aren't too big to be done safely. Sonography should be able to diagnose a cyst as "consistent with dermoid". Why not findout if that was the case? Good luck.
