changes in menses at age 46From: cmcm (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 19 Jul 2000 12:46:19 -0500 (CDT)
my last period was 7 weeks ago and was light. i had discharge i would normally associate to ovulation during the week with some minor spotting. i am not pg. the discharge has continued and i missed my next scheduled period at 25 days. i have had a fsh and lh test, both are in the normal range. i have no pain, no hot flashes, etc. but have a change in bowel habit with constipation and located with discomfort on my right side. i have nearly daily cramping(minor) that i would associate with onset of my period but nothing happens. about the time when my period should have happened, i did experience bloating, etc. as usual but later that week it disappated. i have not lost any weight or began any exercises and have never reacted to stress affecting my periods. am i in the very beginning of perimenopause or should i have a complete check up? my mother and most of my aunts had hysto's at earlier ages so we don't know when our genetic's might induce an 'age' of menopause. thanks
