I went in to my doctor for something similar...I hadn't been on my pill for as long but around a year still...she said that the breakthrough bleeding is common but did an exam to make sure nothing else was up and then she switched me to a higher dose pill which so far seems to be helping a lot. You should go to your doc and discuss this with him or her i'm sure they could suggest a pill for you that wont cause this because I know its really annoying! Goodluck!
