Gynecology and SexFrom: Anonomyous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 13 Jul 2000 14:22:56 -0500 (CDT)
My girlfriend and I have recently become sexually active. We have stopped having sex, due to our age, but are worried about her first gynecology procedure. Since we are teens, we don't want her mom to know, and we are afraid that the gynecologist will notice she has had sex and will tell her mom. We're worried that her mom will never let us see each other again. Is there any way that the gynecologist will meet privately with my girlfriend before the exam and ask questions about her being sexually active without telling her mom? Also, what is the most common age for her first visit to the gynecologist? I'm positive that the doctor will know she's had sex, but do the signs of sex go away after a period of time? Last, could he tell the difference between her having sex and masturbating? I'm really worried about this, please give me some advice. Thanks
