My health problemFrom: Jeannie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 1 Jul 2000 17:38:40 -0500 (CDT)
Hi, I'm 23 years old, I have been having problems with my menstration. I statred my bleeding at the age of 9 years old. I've always had problems since then. I've been in and out of doctors offices. I've recently found one that actually wants to help me but I'm not understanding this very well. I went in to see him because, I've been bleeding alot. Sometimes 4 months without stopping. Sometimes I don't have a period for 4 months. Well I haven't had any children and thats my problem now. I'm ready to start my own family. He had put me on clomid for two months but I never got to my second dosage because i never stopped bleeding. Well I went in to see him again, he decided for me to have a d and c. I had that done on June 7, 2000. I have been spotting ever since and today I woke up this morning and blood was running down my legs. I went in for my follow up and he said I have hormonal hyperplasia, I'm not quite sure what that is. All I know is that my hormones are off. Hes told me I have to wait for my next menstral cycle before he can put me on anything. hes insisting birth contral. I have been on birth control before and it never helped, it just helped me gain weight. I guess my question is where do I go now? People tell me I may have to have a hysterectomy. Is there any information you can give me on hormonal hyperplasia, and is there any hope for me to one day hold my own child. I would really appreciate any information thanks, desperately seeking advice... Jeannie
