Ongoing discomfortFrom: Susan (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 29 Dec 1999 22:40:37 -0600 (CST)
Hi! I had a TAH for DUB in late August and I'm having some rather weird sproings and zots here lately that I was hoping one of the Dr's could help me with. With no rhyme or reason, I'm getting some stabbing pain on the right side of my incision only deeper in the tissue. I'm wondering if this is an ovarian issue. Ususally it's just the right side, but it's happened on the left side as well. I'm beginning to wonder if my ovaries are having a hard time as I'm hyper emotional these days. I'm 31, and my sister who is now 45 had a TVH 5 years ago and is now in total menopause. My incision itself looks wonderfully healed, but it sometimes burns after a busy day at work with lots of lifting. My stomach is also still numb about 4 inches above the incision (bikini cut) and although I remember from my C section that the incision stayed numb, but I don't remember it being this high on the belly. I'm hoping that this is just another "normal" phase of healing, but this "ovary" pain is beginning to worry me. Dr. M, if you respond, you may recall that I have the gyn/and PCP who think hormone testing isn't worth the paper it's printed on. Thanks for any insight you can give me,
-- Susan
