cronic bladder infectionsFrom: sue (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 29 Dec 1999 01:15:14 -0600 (CST)
Two years ago I was diagnosed with a bladder infection and was perscribed Noroxin. When I finished the meds the symptoms came back so they put me back on the Noroxin. I have been taking the Noroxin for 2 years now and when I tried going without it for more than a couple of days I get the same symptoms mostly burning. I have had ultra sounds done and everything was normal and the doctor said I might have to take this medication forever. I read an article in a magazine the other day that said sometimes these symptoms are do to bladder systs and alot of times they are misdiagnosed. It stated an estimated 70,000 women are diagnosed with this and an estimated 7 million women actually have them and they can be treated with a drug. DO you have any knowlege of this if so any information or suggestions you could pass on to me would be greatly appreciated. thanks Sue
