I know that the color can vary from time to time, too. With my last baby, I actually bled for four to five months post partum, and it was also red. At that point my baby was no longer interested in breast feeding and I was put on birth control pills to regulate things. If I were you, I wouldn't worry. I'm sure one of the good doc's around here can shed more light on this and from a different perspective. AM
