endometrial ablation/loss of fertility support groupFrom: antoinette (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 27 Dec 1999 15:03:58 -0600 (CST)
I had an endometrial ablation last year after suffering for 15 years with heavy, daily bleeding. I am very satisfied with the results - I'm an entirely different person without all the hormones and surgeries to control my problem. I am having a hard time dealing with my loss of fertility, even though I was well-informed of this before my surgery. I am 31 years old, single with no children. I am finding it extremely difficult to decide what and when to 'confess' my infertility to perspective boyfriends. Every support group I've encountered seems to focus on couple's who are trying to conceive, which is totally different from actually knowing you can't conceive. This is my last hope for some support. Anyone out there in similiar situation?
