My doctor just is not sure. >Thanks, Hi there. Just want to offer my 2 cents. First, I will have to agree with Dr. Marchbein about maybe trying a gastroenterologist. I found mine very helpful. I started having low pains about 10 years ago. They were bad enough to make me double over. I couldn't walk, just double over and grab my gut. Thought after experiencing pains like that, labor pain would be nothing when the day would come that I would have a baby. (chuckle, for those of you who know *that* story!) BUT, I also was experiencing chest pain, rather severe heart burn really. It gradually got worse and I started getting nauseaous, and then to where I was throwing up. I literally became afraid to eat food. I finally went to the doctor and...fast forward several months due to a lame, underpaid, overworked general MD accepting waaaaay too many patients... an upper GI test (drank Barium)revealed inflammation and spasms in my duodenum. An ulcer was suspected and I was prescribed medication. A week later I considered the famed Zantac a miracle drug, LOL. Ever since then, ulcer medication has helped whenever I have trouble. (Oh, and I just love my current GI doc!) I know that I have rambled on, but perhaps something in my story might trigger some ideas in you. Have you looked at your diet and perhaps food triggers? It's worth a shot at least. Like I said, my 2 cents worth. Not worth much more. :) AM
