alternatives to hysteroscopy, post-septum resection

Hello,

I underwent lap/hysteroscopy to resect a uterine septum 3 days ago. I have had mild cramping, moderate pain around the incision sites but absolutely no bleeding or even spotting. Is this normal?

Also, my surgeon wants to do a "flexible hysteroscopy" in two weeks to ensure (I assume) that the resection was successful. My concerns: the HSG I underwent at the beginning of this process was extremely painful, and my surgeon reported that he had a very difficult time dilating my cervix during the surgery. Will an in-office hysteroscopy witohut the benefit of general anesthesia be painful given the difficulty with cervical dilatation? Are there any viable less-invasive options that will yield the same infomration?

Thanks again for your help, in advance...
