Hi, I can't give you any medical advice, but if you feel that the answer needs more investigating, then push the issue. It's good that the doctor is willing to do the chromsomal testing. It's a start. If you feel that's not enough, then talk to him again about other options.

I have had one child already, and am preg with #2. With my first, I had only "threatened miscarriage", but with the progesterone suppositories, I carried her to term. My progesterone level was low causing the bleeding and bad cramping. It happened again with my current pregnancy for the same reason and I was put on the suppositories again. The first time I was in denial, which was actually more dangerous because I tried to continue doing everything normally, like going to work a stressful nursing job only to go home an hour or so later. I didn't want to believe it could possibly happen. This time I had been through it before so I knew what to expect. I was better mentally, but it scared the heck out of me that something could still happen. I noticed in recent years that the first half of my cycle is perfect and very timely every month. It's the second half of the cycle that seems to always be screwed up. Try looking for messages your body may be trying to tell you.

I know how traumatic it is at just the thought, and then for it to actually happen as in your case, it is very hard, even for me just reading about it. I wish you well and hope that you find the answers you are looking for.
