Hi Dr M,

Good to hear from you again. <S> Hope you are doing well, and had a good holiday.

>>>Different possibiities depending upon the location of the endometriosis
and the adhesions involved.<<<

So if the pain was immediately following climax as I described, what are some areas you'd think the endo may be lurking in?

>>>The mechanism hasn't been elucidated but what you describe above doesn't
make sense from an anatomic point of view.<<<<

Okay....well what I am trying to explain is that, to my understanding, when a woman reaches climax, her uterus contracts....right? As I understand it thats the reason why women, when menstruating, can bleed more heavily after climax for a little bit, because it contracts and releases the flow.

Now what I am trying to explain, and prolly not doing a very good job of it <G>, is that perhaps when a woman has endo, during her period or around it, if she climaxes, would the endo-tissue perhaps clog the tubes when the uterus contracts, and thus causes the cramping pain? Does this make more sense? <g>

>>>No published data yet.<<<

Well lets say just what you and your colleagues have observed in your practice yourselves....do you see this occuring often?

>>>Painful intercourse as you describe can be from a multitude of
reasns.<<<

Okay, more specifically, what causes can pain specifically after climax be caused by besides endo?

Thanks a bunch!
