Ectopic Pregnancy - Recovery Period

My doctor is fairly certain that I have an ectopic pregnancy in the left fallopian tube. Two vaginal ultrasounds have located a mass on in my left tube near but not on the ovary. I'm returning to the doctor on Thursday of this week to get the results from a 2nd hCG test (tested 1441 hCG yesterday). He says assuming the rate drops we'll discuss treatment options (surgery or methotrexate) on Thursday when I see him.

I have researched these options on the web and can't seem to find anything about recovery periods for each. I understand with methotrexate it could take up to 7 weeks for the mass to dissolve. How long does it take to recover from laparoscopy? How soon will I be able to return to normal functioning?

I travel for my job and am curious how long I'd be restricted from travel with either option. Any info you can share would be appreciated!
