Non-OB/GYN Question

Hi,

Wondering if someone has heard of this before...within the past few days, I've been having a strange sort of pain in the mid to lower section on the right side of my neck. At first I assumed it was a pinched nerve or that I'd turned my head too quickly, because it felt similar to that sort of pain.

However today I looked closely in the mirror and examined the area. I had an inflammed skin tag removed in that area during surgery for something else in November 1996. The area was very painful, read, and bled frequently. Clothing rubbing on it made it hurt worse. I still have a patch of skin where the scar was that is lighter and more smooth than the surrounding skin...maybe 1/4-1/2 inch long. It never caused a problem before...but now if I touch the area, and esp the skin directly above it, with any pressure, the result is severe pain. It also hurts to turn my neck certain ways, with or without clothing touching the area.

It's very odd and disturbing to me, as barely touching the skin seems to make it hurt on top of the skin...but if I push on it, the pain seems to lie under my skin...so I don't know what to think of this. It still hurts for several minutes after removing my hand, but not as badly. It's somewhat near my glands, but not directly on top of them....so that probably wouldnt be the culprit <right?>

The only other strange thing I have been noticing, and up to this point I thought it was nothing, is that I have been bleeding a lot lately. My mouth, gum, and tongue bleeds frequently and suddenly for no apparent reason...just saw my dentist and he said everything in there looks perfect, incl my teeth and oral care. My ears have also been bleeding several times a day, especially the left. It seems there was some sort of pimple or something in there that caused it, but now its gone and continues to bleed. I've also had a little bleeding from my nose, legs after shaving, and noticed some grey hairs on my head the other day, which I saved for my doctor to examine. I thought these were just fleeting things, sensitive skin maybe...but thought I'd bring it up here in case there's some correlation I am missing.

I know how difficult it is to try to make a cyber-diagnosis, so I am just looking for ideas if anyone has seen/heard of this before, what it could be, and what can be done about it. Seeing my doctor this weekfor something else, and will bring up any suggestions I get with him then.

Thanks!
