Hi!

I don't know what Dr. M will say on this but all I can say is that a hemaglobin as low as you have is *very very low*. You must feel terrible. Sometimes you can compensate when your hemoglobin gets low and the patient doesn't feel as badly as you would expect, but yours is probably dropping suddenly. I know, because I had this same problem but I was only 36. They tried to control it with hormones and they had me on 3 iron pills a day but this was before all the less invasive things they can do with fibroids that they can do now. My hematocrit dropped from 30 to 21 in 3 days (to a hemoglobin of 7 something) and I know I felt lousy.
