Abnormal bleedingFrom: Mikki (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 23 Nov 1999 15:05:32 -0600 (CST)
Hi...I'm a 26 yr.old female, one previous pregnancy in '95 resulting in our beautiful daughter, and I have been having irregular vaginal spotting since mid-August. I have had an ultrasound, PAP smear and regular pelvic exam by my ob/gyn, and everything looks normal. The spotting is usually just noticeable after I use the restroom, and I see it on the toilet paper, sometimes it is brown in color, but mostly bright red. Although the amount is small, I can get it before my period, and now, after my period ended on Friday, I noticed it again today. My ob/gyn didn't seem too concerned about it at this time, saying that it is just probably a hormonal imbalance and that we could try to use bcp's if I wanted to. However, we are trying to conceive, and therefore the dr. agreed we should just ttc, and see how it goes. I've also been having a lot of back pain as well. Should I be concerned about this spotting? Thanks much! Mikki
