You need the doctor to answer some questions first. Does he think you had PID/ Is the cyst new, based upon his previous exams? Is the cyst the result of PID (sometimes the tube and ovary form a tubo-ovarian mass that can be painful and enlarged)? If it's a cyst, what kind is it (based upon the sonogram)?
