Usually hormone changes during the latter half of the month causing water retention. It is one of the physical symptoms of PMS. Elimination of caffeine (totally - that means coffee, tea, cola, chocolate), Vitamin B6 50-100mg twice a day and being careful with salt helps many women in addition to Vitamin c 1000mg per day, Vitamin E 400IU per day and instead of Vitamin B6, some women substitute Vtamin B complex 100mg. Some of my patients swear by Rose Hips tea as a natural diurretic.
