I've visited the doctor numerous times for several problems. No one could find anything wrong with me. I knew something wasn't right. I am swollen I appear to be nine months preg. and the pain in my abdomen and rectum was excruciating. I finally couldn't take it anymore and went to the E.R. and was told I had a pelvic imflammation disease. I was given pain pills and sent home. The following week I had pain in my rectum and abdomen so bad I couldn't make to the E.R. I lay in the floor in pain until the pain subsided. I made appt. with my obygn the following day. He was out so I saw a nurse pract. she immed. showed concern for me and ordered a pelvic ultrasound which showed I had a big cyst on my ovaries. We are sure this is the culpit. I can't believe I have gone through this for two years being treated like it was all my head. But in any case I'm glad that the cyst was found. I am waiting for my doctor to return to see what he wants to do about it. I want this thing removed since I think it is what has caused me so much pain and misery. Has anyone suffered with the pain and swelling and what was done for it? Did your pain and swelling go away? What questions should I ask the doctor should I insist on removal? Please help me with this decision I'm not sure what all this problem may entail.
