Well, you are going to get me going on my passion ! I am studying and writing about this for my research project, and have more articles and books than you would want to read. Please email me directly if you want more information and links to my personal web site.

In essence, I feel anyone dealing with low blood sugar, obesity, gestational diabetes or diabetes to evaluate their complex carbohydrates and glycemic index foods. There is a link between these things, and research is supporting a concept called Insulin Resistance, which appears to be a common link in these conditions. So, my recommendation: watch out for those glycemic carbos, and be sure you are getting enough protein. Again, email me for more information: webmidwife1@home.com. Pat Sonnenstuhl, ARNP, CNM
