Re: low blood sugar during periods

Some folks become very sugar sensitive, both during pregnancy and even
between. There are some advocating cutting out sugars (and flour)
completely. An informative book on this one is: Potatoes Not Prozac, and
also Food Addiction, your body know. Perhaps during your menses your
hormone levels drop and shift your response to glycemic foods. I noticed
brief periods of depression following the onset of my menses and then it
would pass. I attributed it to the dramatic drop in my hormones once the
menses started.
