Having a OB/GYN Doctor for Primary care

I am thinking about changing my insurance (HMO) so that my OB/GYN doctor (who I love) is my primary care doctor. Currently I have a Dr. who I don't really care for, as a primary, she is not an OB/GYN but general medicine. My other OB/GYN Doctor is wonderful, caring and his staff is excellent. Is there anything I should think about when making this change? I am 28 in pretty good health (slight hypertension) and my only medical problems are all female. Thanks!
