Allergy seems unlikely, since you're able to take the prenatal vitamins without this problem; however, without knowing the components of the supplements you've been taking, it's not possible to judge. Have you tried plain, old Tums? There are other sources of calcium, and I suggest you discuss these with your OB provider and/or a dietician. My dietician gave me this list: seaweeds, sardines, salmon almonds, tahini, tofu, oats dried fruit cooked collard greens, broccoli, kale, turnip greens, mustard greens herbal infusions: nettle, oatstraw, sage, chickweed, red clover blossoms, comfrey, raspberry leaf Getting enough calcium during your pregnancy will be a challenge, but it's not impossible.
