Marchbein, M.D.: "Re: Post-op Hysterectomy" I am three weeks post-op from abdominal hysterectomy. Only the uterus and cervix was removed. I went off the pain meds a week ago and have been doing fine on over the counter meds. but the last couple of days my lower back has been hurting incredibly bad.My Dr. called in some more pain meds but I am wandering how normal is it to have such back pain after hysterectomy and is there anything that I can do to relieve the pain I am having other than Prescription pain meds?
