Dear Anita,

Yes, your GYN is right. In order to figure out the malignant potential of your cysts, we should analyze the fluid inside the cysts. This fluid is collected from the cyst aspiration. Now you see.... The main reason to get them aspirated is not purely therapeutic (i.e. to get rid of the cysts). It is also a part of diagnostic workup. I suggest you to get your cysts aspirated, unless we'll never know whether they are benign or malignant.
