To make a statement though that someone has Endometriosis, Adenomyosis,
chocolate cysts, etc., without true evidence (i.e. Lap for the Endo, US
to diagnose the cysts, etc.), isn't a good idea, as it can put a fear in
the patient that may be completely unnecessary. There are women that
are put on strong medications (Lupron for example) that haven't been
diagnosed, but the clinician feels they have the disease/disorder.
Lupron is a very potent drug, that isn't without it's side effects that
no one should have to bear unless it is necessary. Just an example of
why it is so important to get an accurate diagnosis before taking on
some of the treatments (I'm not putting down Lupron, just using it as an
example to make a point....).
