Marchbein, M.D.: "Re: Provera Effects on the Fetus" My wife was prescribed Provera (10 mg/day for 10 days) to cause her to get her period. Prior to being prescribed Provera, pregnancy tests (at home and in the Dr's office) were negative. It has been almost 5 days since the Provera medication stopped. She has not gotten her period and she took a home pregnancy test this morning. It was positive. Our question is, what can Provera do to the developing fetus? Furthermore, what are the chances that the baby will develop fully and healthy? Any guidance would be appreciated! -- Mark Next message: Harvey S.
