The answer to these questions depend upon the following - how extensive the rectocele was, which method of repair was used, was there an enterocele as well, was it associated with a cystocele repair, do you still have a uterus, is it well supported, were any other repairs done at the same time, was there any infection after surgery, do you have normal bleeding times.

That being said, sutures often dissolve about three weeks after surgery and many women note continued or increased bleeding at this time.

Intercourse depends upon the questions in my first paragraph.
