for the Health Care Providers-concerning hormone replacement and problemsFrom: Anne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 13 Oct 1999 18:35:17 -0500 (CDT)
I am 3 years post hysterectomy-retained the cervix and one ovary which has since shut down. I did have a diagnosis of adenomyosis in the uterus. I am on estrace 2 mg and Prometrium 100 mg. We recently added Testosterone 2% cream. I have started with bad cramps, since I have added the Testosterone. Also have motion sickness, hot flashes and nausea and occassional vomiting. My doc suggested removing the cervix, since he thinks it contains Adeno. Any suggestions for hormone adjustment, such as cutting the estrogen in half or would more Prometrium help? Thanks for your thoughts on this. Why did the hot flashes come back after adding Testosterone?
