Breasts pain and saggingFrom: Karen (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 6 Oct 1999 10:17:20 -0500 (CDT)
I have always had abnormally large breasts for my very small frame. Horseback riding was one of my greatest loves during my youth and it wrecked havoc on my breasts. As long as I remember, I always sagged with boobs of an old lady, despite my best attempts to secure them with supportive attire. Before me recent pregnancy, I wore a size 30F Bra. However, towards the end of my pregnancy and afterwards, especially when I stopped breast feeding, they increased in size very quickly and sagged dramatically. Now I wear a 32I Bra and my breasts are so elongated they dangled down next to my navel. The breast tissue has melted away in the upper area and I have hanging skin to support the extra weight of my breasts. In addition, my nipples have become huge and "fall" to the bottom of my breasts. These abnormally pendulous breasts cause me severe pain inside breasts in everyday activities. I find it nearly impossible to move freely since I cannot control the bouncing of my massive breast tissue. The pain occurs at once they flop down or after few minutes when I put off my bra. The weight of my breasts is a strain on all these areas, and the pains are increasing steadily. I now wear two bras, one on top of the other, in order to reduce the shaking of my breasts. My bra has ultimately become an instrument of pain as the bra straps cut into my shoulders. I have stopped breast feeding now for about two weeks and I have always milk with very significant losses. Is that normal or not ? Is there a chance that my breasts will reduce naturally back to their original size ? I have many difficulties to locate 32I Bras with good support and the needed restriction of movement. Where can I find these unusual bras ? Thanks very much for your help. Karen.
