Antibiotics for vaginal infectionsFrom: Elaine (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 5 Oct 1999 20:31:47 -0500 (CDT)
About three weeks ago I went for my checkup. Two weeks after that I was called and was told that I had an inflamation in the vaginal area. Even though I had no complaints or symptoms I went to the pharmacy to get my prescription. I got CLINDAMYCIN ( a vaginal cream ) I did not realized that I had to put it inside ( I HATE that ) so I called my doctor to see if there was an alternative to it that I could take orally. That was three weeks ago.... So according to them I have had an infection since the 10th of september does it take that long to find out??? Is there an oral alternative to CLINDAMYCIN? How come I do not feel any symptoms? If untreated could it affect my period? Thank You!!!!
