With a temperature chart, the temperature rises just after ovulation. Some very astute people can recognize the dip in temperature before the rise as the sign just before ovulation.

Average ovulation time is the cycle in days minus 14 or 43-14) (give or take a day). Pregnancy can occur up to 5 days preceding and including the day of ovulation.
