Hydrosalpinx and ovarian cystsFrom: Kim (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 30 Sep 1999 07:27:18 -0500 (CDT)
I am 38 years old had a complete hysterectomy at 29, ovaries and tubes were left in. Have had cronic pelvic pain for the past two months and was sent for a sonogram which turned into a transvaginal sonogram. They found multiple cysts in the left ovary one with a septation. The ovary is approximately 6.4cm. The right side is where the major pain is coming from they indicated that I have a hydrosalpinx. My doctor did not seem concerned about the cysts on the left ovary and has scheduled me for surgery three weeks from now. I would like to know if the hydrosalpinx can rupture and if so what would happen to me if it did?
